When war starts in nearby countries activities in more or less all parts of society will increase preparing for the new factual situation and people interaction will increase exponentially. If some kind of virus was to blame for earlier increased excess mortality rates a new excess mortality peak would be expected, but as described in the graph below numbers kept sinking for months and in some countries to negative EMRate´s [median] values analyzing war period and forward [War start, Feb. 24, 2022].
All countries described below had increased excess mortality median rates (years 2020-2024).
